The Temple Church was built by the Knights Templar and consecrated on 10 February 1185 by Patriarch Heraclius of Jerusalem. Located between Fleet Street and the River Thames, it serves as chapel of the Inner and Middle Temples and has been known as America's Church in London since 1584. The church has an organ used for recitals and is home to the Temple Singers choir.
