Severndroog Castle is a Grade II*-listed 18th-century folly built in 1784 by Lady Anne James to commemorate her husband Sir William James. Standing 132 metres above sea level, the castle features a 360° viewing platform overlooking London, the Thames River and seven surrounding counties. The castle contains a Lady James Room dedicated to Sir William James's capture of Suvarnadurg, and a ground floor tearoom.
