The Oriental Club is a private members' club established in 1824 by returning officers and officials from India and the East, with Major General Sir John Malcolm coordinating the founding Committee. Founded with an initial membership of four hundred, the club occupied Grosvenor Street for four years before relocating to Hanover Square, and subsequently moved to Stratford House in 1962.
