The St Bride Foundation, established in 1891, operates from a Grade II listed Victorian building. The Bridewell Theatre was constructed over the City of London's first swimming pool, which remains beneath the seating and is accessible via a floor hatch. The theatre retains its Victorian glass lantern roof, viewing gallery and changing rooms, with a capacity of 136 theatre style or 200 standing.
Bridewell Centre has 12 upcoming events listed, mostly musical and art exhibitions. Tickets are typically around £18. It is 2 minutes' walk from City Thameslink rail station.
