VFD is an arts venue located in a basement, accessed by a single staircase with 12 stairs. Opened in 2007, it features two gender neutral toilets and a smoking area that closes at 11pm. The venue has received support from Hackney Council Pride365, UK Black Pride, West Hackney Parochial Society and the Arts Council England.
It is 6 minutes' walk from Dalston Kingsland Overground station.
