Valence House Museum is the only surviving of the five manor houses of Dagenham. Following extensive refurbishment in 2010, the museum holds around 20,000 objects. The gardens feature a herb garden designed by historic gardens consultant Virginia Nightingale and have received the Green Flag award and the London in Bloom award.
