Jamyang Buddhist Centre was established in 1978 and relocated to the Old Courthouse in Lambeth in 1995. The centre contains 2 meditation rooms: the Shrine Room and the main Temple in the original courtroom. A Buddha statue at the centre was consecrated in 1999 by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Over 500 students worldwide are enrolled in its long-term Buddhist study programmes.
